We’ve introduced important improvements to how risks are managed and linked across your Program boards, Solution Boards and Collections in Kendis. These updates give you a clearer, more integrated view of risks across all planning levels.
Centralized Risk Register
- Risks can now be linked to multiple Program Boards, Solution Boards, and Collections from a single place.
- When you create a risk from any board, it is automatically linked to that context. You can add or remove links as needed.Managing Risk Links Across Program Boards, Solution Boards, and Collections
Program Boards
- Risks created on a Program Board are automatically linked to that board.
- You can also link existing risks to multiple Program Boards to track how risks impact different programs.
Solution Boards
- Risks created on a Solution Board are automatically linked there.
- A single risk can be linked to multiple Solution Boards to reflect broader solution-level exposure.
Risk Register in Collections
- You can enable the Risk Register directly in any Collection via its settings.
- This allows you to create and track risks tied to strategic initiatives managed at the collection level.
- Risks in Collections can also be linked to Program and Solution Boards for full traceability.
Improved filtering
- Filter risks by specific boards to see only what’s relevant, or view unlinked risks to catch gaps.
- Works consistently across Program Boards, Solution Boards, and Collections.
Why this matters
These updates make it easier to manage risks in one place while maintaining links to all relevant planning contexts. This ensures better visibility, accountability, and alignment across teams.
How to get started
- To enable the Risk Register in a Collection, go to the Collection’s Backlog → Settings → and turn on the Risk Register.
- Use the Link Board option in the Risk Register to associate risks with any Program Board, Solution Board, or Collection.
